1.car may be a simple mechanism but a 3D manuvering gear is practical for vertical movement when trying to kill titans by attacking their nape . 2. as you yourself has correctly pointed out that metal is an importat resource so they majorly want to divert these resourses towards killing or "attack on titans" . 3. if you have closely seen the trivias that come between these episodes you will also find that the swords are made as special alloys as the skins of titans are very thick and horses are also specally breaded for specific purpose of transportation 4. The above where just the economic reasons there is a political reason as well but no spoilers I am not trying to show off but i just want show a certain appreciation for the world building done by author and how it makes sense that the world and its technologies are as such

If you want to see an anime with an amazing first episode, I'll suggest an old 1992 classic; its called "Yu Yu Hakusho" based on the manga of the same name by Yoshiro Togashi(one of the best mangakas in history). Its not perfect or complex by any stretch of the imagination but its probably the best anime ever created in the shonen genre(Amazing English dub as well, for the most part). I'm not sure if you'd like shonen though (to explain what is shonen I'll just say, Onepunch man is basically a satire on the shonen genre while being a nice shonen in itself). Hunter x Hunter is basically the next manga Yoshiro Togashi created after Yu Yu Hakusho. When you spoke to Adhiban about similar anime protagonists, that is basically the trope of the shonen genre. P.S I want to make sure if you are watching the right adaptation of Berserk, its Berserk 1997(which is up till the act 1 of the manga). The rest of the adaptations which continue the story are not worth watching as I know you will not read the manga.

AD was spot on about the commander erwin speech, that was the whole point erwin did not want to recruit people by stroking feelings of patriotism and heroism. Erwin presented the exact shitty odds of survival of the scouts he didnt try to hide that fact knowing well enough it would push people away from joining, erwin is a realist and only wanted people who were actually willing to lose their lives. Married or not most people consider their lives extremely precious. Nobody likes to die mate. Aot paints a realistic picture of war and the suffering it inflicts upon people.

@Sorabh Pant bro its not 1200 hours. Even if we have 1000 episodes it will be close to 350 hours. If you try to go for One Pace(not Piece) it wraps the story in around half the time. It basically cuts out the fillers and keeps only the canon stuff.
There's a reason why One Piece is the best selling manga...people get scared seeing how it has over 900 episodes...but read the manga instead...you won't be able to stop yourself
Read the manga I prefer that and you can finish it quicker, but you're missing out if you don't check out one piece
